“Yearning to Travel Keeps You Dreaming.”

As a young woman, I was a finance professional and a workaholic. Climbing the corporate ladder at several Fortune 500 companies was my dream.

After receiving my MBA, I negotiated a job offer to work for six months at the London office of a U.S. tech company. Because of my mother’s declining health, I backed out of the opportunity and took a position with another company closer to my family’s home.

My free time vanished when I quit my finance career, returned home, and became a small business owner and a full-time caregiver. I wanted to travel, but the timing was always off.

“Traveling Makes You a Priority.”

Without me noticing, I had turned into a supporting character. My suitcase collected dust in my childhood home.

Hallmark fictional heroines toured the world while I snacked on popcorn on the couch. I never imagined I would experience life-changing travel stories.

However, a business trip to Senegal in West Africa in 2015, along with my published essays on culture and diversity, sparked my interest in learning more about how people live around the world.

In late 2024, a digital nomad encouraged me to travel to Europe and test my resourcefulness and cultural curiosity. This adventure started in June 2025.
